Hockey Hotline Open

Empire Sports Networks' marquee and most highest rated program. Hockey Hotline was a live NHL Buffalo Sabres post-game show. I remember having the entire concept for this open plotted out and nearly complete when at the last minute I was informed that we needed to add "Labatt" to the title of the show and incorporate it into the open. Further adding to the problem was the fact that the Labatt logo had to be at this specific angle, which really threw off the main show logo. Fortunately I was able to use one of the team’s secondary logo elements as a transitional piece to bring in the sponsor, thereby fulfilling our obligation without wrecking a lot of what I’d already designed.

Again, this piece relied on heavy usage of Strata Studio Pro for the 3D elements, as well as Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. Most of the compositing and all of the final editing was completed on an Accom Stratasphere.
